Billy (Bill)'s Story
Life
I just retired from Public Service Company of New Mexico after 32 years service...effective retirement date, February 1st, 2014. Now what? Oh yeah, now I can do all that stuff I kept putting off because I didn't have time!
I still live in Aztec after buying the house that belonged to Rasmussens on Main Street (back when we were in school). I have lived in the same place for 20+ years...my elderly mother lived with me until her passing in April 2006. She was my very best friend ever, and I miss her. I have been employed by Public Service Company of New Mexico since 1982. I have had a few flings, but never got married. I've decided that romance is apparently not in the works for me, and I am happy just being a friend to others without the encumbrances of a bad romance.
I haven't changed a lot since high-school in personality. I'm still about the same height, but am at about 235 pounds, down from 295, last time I looked. Too much weight to carry! I enjoy music, ...Expand for more
both playing and listening, artwork of all kinds, photography, creative writing, my Jeep, and my motorcycles. I kept the classic British bike, but acquired the bike of my dreams 8/26/2004...a Harley Davidson Heritage Soft-tail. It's black with orange and crimson pinstripes...ala Aztec Tigers!
Favorite Quote: "Never meddle in the affairs of dragons...for you are crunchy...and taste great with ketchup!"
I still keep in touch with several of the classmates who still live in the area, as well as some who live elsewhere. We had a great 25 year reunion in 2000...many showed up and we all had a great time. The 30 year reunion in 2005 was fantastic. I re-established a lot of friendships in the process of helping coordinate the reunions. We are beginning to plan a 40 year reunion to take place during the summer of 2015 at a date to be determined. I will try to get some information posted soon. Drop me a line if you like...I'd love to hear from you!
